Hard Wood

Hard Wood

I use a variety of native hardwoods, including cherry, walnut, butternut, white oak, hickory and ash. I will use other varieties on request but have found these woods were the most used in the country style furniture I make. Secondary woods are white pine and yellow poplar, depending on application

Reclaimed Lumber

Reclaimed Lumber

Fine furniture in the country tradition from recycled lumber. Old boards are recycled from remodeling and demolition. The boards are cleaned, sanded and trimmed before shaping them into their new lives. Table legs feature tapered legs, either from rectangular or square stock. Designs are chosen to mimic tables built in the countryside during the 19th century. Legs are mortised and tops are joined to frame with screws overlayed with wooden filler pegs. Frames and legs are painted in a six coat process to achieve a crackled look of one paint over the other. Customers can choose their size (length and width up to 8' X 4') and colors - favorites are red over old brown, and robins egg blue over brown or red. These are then finished with an aging glaze and a coat of oil/poly to protect the glaze. Tops are sanded without removing the character of the wood and then three coats of oil/poly finished with a final coat of hand applied wax for a rich look

Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor Furniture

A variety of outdoor grade furniture made from eco-friendly recycled lumber. Most of the woods are reclaimed cedar and redwood siding and paneling. Cleaned and sanded and re-cut these pieces of furniture use old and new designs and make a great addition to your outside decor. Assembled using the finest grade screws and bolts they are finished using a high quality outdoor oil, three coats for durability and resistance to weathering.

Cabin Furniture

Cabin Furniture

This is a new line of furniture for the cabin or weekend retreat. Made from reclaimed pine barn lumber or knotty pine paneling these pieces are finished in their naturally aged color and include tables, cupboards, and benches
